Hi siductioneers near and far,
Published on November 14, 2024 by Ferdinand Thommes
for those of you wondering why there has not been a release for over a year now, the explanation is straightforward. We have been waiting for Plasma 6 in Debian Sid. We anticipated it earlier in 2024, but it got held up by the t64 transition, which took around four months to complete.
But now the time is near, Plasma 6 has been trickling into experimental for a while and from what I heard through the grapevine, it should move to Sid in the next two weeks. Then we will let it set for a while and put together our next release. All this plays well into our habit to release during the holiday season. And to end on a positive note: Plasma 6 being delayed in Sid has a huge advantage: siduction gets Plasma 6.2.x for a start, which has settled down significantly.
and until then, happy siducing, y'all
