What a year! We've been quiet because our heads are down, at work on our very full programme.

But now, a cover image reveal! This image of the legendary and much-loved writer and director Renée, in the Broadsheet magazine office in 1987, will be on the cover of Spiral 8. It was taken by Joan Caulfield, who has very kindly given us permission to use her work.  Our warmest thanks, Joan!

The big poster behind Renée is the Spiral poster for Wahine Kaituhi, a catalogue of women writers from Aotearoa. We created the book for an international feminist book fair in 1985 and a kind sponsor — the publisher of Wellington newspapers, precursor of Stuff — made the beautiful poster for us.
