PROJECT

Help stop the illegal sale of stolen Palestinian land

About

THE THEFT OF PALESTINIAN LAND

With recent further annexations of Palestinian land and the approval of new illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, Israel has now stolen 52 km² of Palestinian land since October 2023. 52km2 is equal to:
NEW ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS
In 2025 alone, Israel approved the construction of 41 new illegal settlements. This was the fastest rate of settlement expansion in any year since records began.

To make occupation profitable, and encourage settlers around the world to colonize Palestine, these settlements are then marketed as being ‘new homes’ for purchase in stolen land fairs, held across the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Europe. In 2025, more than 20 land sales fairs were held in the US alone.
This practice is illegal under state, federal and international law.

HOW PAL COMMISSION IS STOPPING THIS
PAL Commission’s legal and investigative Stolen Lands Campaign, delivered with civil society group PAL-Awda, is the first project to stop the sale of stolen Palestinian lands and deter Western settlers from traveling to colonize Palestine. We conduct investigative research to identify settler ‘real estate’ fairs, and draft and deliver legal notice and demands to complicit institutions and organisations, threatening further legal action and the illegality of settlements.

In 2025, we served legal notices to at least 10 of the 20 real estate events held last year. And it's working! In 2024, we managed to force 92% of stolen land sales agencies to withdraw from these fairs. But we need your help to continue this fight.
