We have re-actived our "TEH Solidarity Fund" where you can send donations that we will later transfer to Tiro Association. We are also gathered in person in Greece in October 2024 where we got a chance to collectively discuss how we can better support our member in Lebanon, and in other countries in peril. In the best spirit of our network, let's not leave one of our owns in trouble but offer our support and solidarity! ARGATIA!
TEH Solidarity Fund RE-ACTIVATED
This is Silana al Smarah. Silana was killed along her parents in the weekend bombardment of Tyre city in Southern Lebanon. She was only 6 years old. In this picture she is at one of the arts workshops organised by our member Tiro Association for Arts. The workshop was held for displaced youth and children in the cities of Tyre and Tripoli as they are receiving many displaced families there right now.
Tiro Association for Arts is a TEH associate and an NGO from South Lebanon that since 2014 has worked on encouraging the local communities to engage with culture and the arts outside of religious and political frames. In the light of current events, they have turned the Lebanese National Theatre in Tripoli (North Lebanon) into a shelter where families fleeing from the war in the south can stay and get their necessary daily supplies. The situation on the ground is tough and dangerous and Tiro could do with any help we can offer right now.
We have re-actived our "TEH Solidarity Fund" where you can send donations that we will later transfer to Tiro Association.
Contributions are possible on Open Collective via: - Bank Transfer (preferred - no fees - bigger contribution to the TEH Solidarity Fund) - Card Payment (via Stripe that always takes some fees so a little less will arrive to the TEH Solidarity Fund)
