Happy New Year! We hope you had the chance to take rest over the holiday period, and are feeling energised for 2024šŖ
Weāve hit the ground running over at SCN, and weāre so excited to share some of our BIG 2024 plans with you soonš¤« If you havenāt had a chance to yet, check out our website to see some of the amazing things our groups got up to in 2023š¤©
Weāre kicking off the New Year with some brilliant funding opportunities, along with some new ways weāre growing the SCN communityš
š¹Funding Opportunities
- KCOM Digital Inclusion Grants - grants of Ā£1000-Ā£25,000 for projects across the Humber to support community-led ideas that can address digital inclusion. The deadline for applications is 31st January 2024.
- Community Relations Council (NI) - grants of up to Ā£10,000 for projects in Northern Ireland focused on developing groupsā capacity to engage in community relations work. The deadline for applicaions is 2nd February 2024.
- Delamere Dairy Foundation - groups based in England, Scotland, and Wales can apply for grants between Ā£1000-Ā£5000. The deadline for applications is 29th February 2024.Ā

ļøUpdating your Open Collective PageĀ
Weāre currently doing an audit of all the groups we host to make sure our information is up to date. You may get an email from us about your page, and in advance weād recommend that you:
- Update your expenses policy - make sure your expense policy is in line with the values and activities of your group! If you need help/inspiration updating this, click here to see our guidance
- Update your page admins - make sure the people who have admin rights on your page are the people you want to have admin rights
šIncoming Funds and Missing Contributions - A reminder that we have set up an incoming contribution form where you can let us know if you will be receiving a large incoming contribution so we can allocate it to your page!
As well as that, you can also share this form with your contributors. Sometimes contributions are made with the incorrect reference number which means we are unable to allocate them to your page. If any of your contributors canāt see their contribution, send them this form so we can allocate it to you!
