Travel and Support for BAPOC+

Dear community - Black, Asian, Muslim, refugee, global majority and/or people seeking asylum/sanctuary. 

If financial support could help you be and feel safer you can make a request for funds. Do this by submitting an 'expense'.

Option 1: invoice: you can submit an invoice if you know that you will need this money before 27th September. E.G. I have to travel before 27th, and then I must submit an invoice before midnight on Wednesday 24th in order to have requests accepted on time and to be paid on Friday. We do not require a receipt for this but ask that you message us on Instagram or via email so we can verify your identity.

Option 2: reimbursement: if you end up needing to pay for an expense on 27th September or in situations that you had to pay so that you were safer (e.g. paying for a taxi to leave/avoid an unsafe situation) and need to be reimbursed for this additional cost.

Note: we will do our best to accept requests via invoice and reimbursement as and when we see them but there can be delays for the following reasons:

 

Dear allies - we need people to SHOW UP - yes at protests, but also to financially support the safety of BAPOC+ and to support our work - many of us have been organising and supporting long before white people realised this sh*t is serious. 

We are asking for donations to a travel and support fund before 27th September when Tommy Robinson, UKIP, Advance UK will be in the North East. 

It is daily that our communities of colour under attack and many of us are struggling against facism, anti-Black racism, racism, Islamophobia, and anti-immigrant hate.
