UCS Summary - Mid August 2024

Dear Contributors, this bimonthly report is dedicated entirely to you who have placed your trust in us by donating money.
With this report you will be able to know the current status of the development study: expenditures, goals achieved and goals to be achieved.

However, the following document will be made available to the public three days later to ensure transparency.

Goals set for the mid-month

  • Release of a new stable and bug-free version for UCR
We have successfully achieved the goal of releasing a stable version with all the bugs of v3.0.0 fixed.
The v3.5.0 with then all pre-releases following it have fixed 100% of the reported bugs.
  • Raised €25
Through our fundraising on OpenCollective we managed to not only complete the goal but also exceed it against all odds, in fact we came in at a total of €57.55!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who believes in our project!
  • New release of UCI
The goal was only half completed as only a pre-release of UCI has been released even though it is virtually the same as the draft version v3.0.0 that we expect to release these days.
  • Hiring a paid developer to port UCR to NWAPI
Unfortunately, this goal has not been completed as no one has applied for the job despite the budget for the amount of work being incredibly high
  • Quick bug-fix for Server Owners
We successfully achieved this goal: we set out to help server-owners reporting bugs as quickly as possible so that we would not lose servers.
Especially in the last 6 days we had a record of releasing special versions as a result of bug-reports: these were being developed and released in less than a day!
  • Achieving 75% of the porting of UCR to NWAPI
We have successfully achieved this goal, in fact at the moment the NWAPI version of UCR is about 85% of completion and there are only a few days left before the final release!

Goals for the end of the month

  • Release a new stable version of UCT for the new version of UCR and implementing all suggestions
  • Release the NWAPI version of UCR
  • Hiring a paid developer to port UCR to NWAPI [2]
  • New release of UCI [2]
  • Raising 75€ - We have reached 57.55€ before the half of the month, we can do that!
  • Reaching 6 contributors
  • Even quicker bug-fix for Server Owners
  • Release a new public plugin

Development Update

We also plan to update you on the development of our projects:
  • UncomplicatedCustomRoles - EXILED v8.11
The version is stable to the latest official release (v3.5.0) and also to the latest official pre-release (v3.6.2): we do not expect to release new versions this month as no critical issues were found.
  • UncomplicatedCustomRoles - NWAPI PluginAPI
The version is being developed: it contains all the latest features of the version for EXILED but we cannot release a public version yet as we still have some issues
    - The configuration file is neither generated nor loaded
    - Natural spawns do not work due to SpawnManager::DoEvaluateSpawnForPlayer(Player)
Anyway as mentioned we are over 85% from completion so we expect to release the first stable version this month!
  • UncomplicatedCustomItems - EXILED v8.11
A pre-release has been released that if stable will be proposed for v3.0.0.
    Currently its name is v3.0.0-rev1.
  • UncomplicatedCustomTeams - EXILED v8.11
The plugin is currently stable and with the pre-release released a short while ago is also compatible with the new version of UCR (v3.5.0).
We expect to release a new version by the end of the month that will implement community suggestions in addition to bug fixes.
  • WaitNChillReborn - NWAPI PluginAPI
We will soon create as our plugin of the month WaitNChillReborn, a reborn of the Wait and Chill Reborn plugin that has not been updated in a while (one year ago, 26/06/2023).
We will also add other features besides compatibility as soft-dependency with UCR!

We are hiring!

Please note that we are still looking for developers, both for volunteer and paid positions!
If you know someone please share the link!

I hope you enjoy the report, so I wish you a good evening!
