As 2022 draws to a close, we are reflecting on the previous year and thinking about the one ahead. In Summer 2022, your donations granted 5 children the opportunity to attend summer camp for a total of 22 weeks! Thanks to you, our grantees attended a variety of camps in Brooklyn exploring interests related to science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and even acrobatics! Together with our donors, we have provided safe and enriching experiences in which our grantees could not otherwise participate. They not only had fun, but also built confidence, resilience, and grit by making new friends, trying new things, and forging positive relationships with mentors. The impacts of this experience will truly last a lifetime!

As an organization, we have also been thoughtful about our challenges past and present. As we've gotten to know the world of non-profit work, we further realize how valuable the resource of time continues to be. At this time we currently do not have the capacity to grow this organization, so we have made the decision to press pause on facilitating this mission in 2023. 

We continue to be proud of the work we have done to bring MORE JOY to the children of North Brooklyn, while also supporting local businesses through challenging and uncertain times.
