Upcoming plans for 2024!

Coming up on the tail end of 2023, we wanted to share what we've been up to, as well as some future plans!
We've continued to maintain the Mastodon instance, moving from a self-hosted server to masto.host. We've also had a lot of success running our events board, which serves as a hub for all the community events running on the west coast. We know some meetup groups who are using it for their events pages, and some discord servers that repost the feed from the events board, so we're really happy to see the community getting use out of it!
Coming up in 2024, we're realizing there's a big gap in the community for a dedicated meeting place. At least in norcal, a lot of the events we have are limited to pop-ups and meetups, but it'd be nice to have somewhere you can go any day to unwind and meet new friends.
That's why in 2024 we're going to be aiming to create some sort of permanent community space. Our goal is to make it a place for music, art, socializing, and supporting local vendors! With enough support, we could even start to look into bringing over some overseas musical acts and clothing vendors.
Since having a permanent space is an ambitious goal, we're looking to start by raising funds through pop-up events. If you're a local org and would like us to help you host an event, please don't be shy and reach out to us!
