Financing and fundraising workshops: Money for Movements

INVITATION FOR FINANCING AND FUNDRAISING WORKSHOPS FOR CHANGEMAKES

Join All For Climate's FREE financing and fundraising sessions, designed to equip you with essential tools for your collective. Across five engaging consecutive 1,5-hour online sessions staring in October, you'll gain hands-on knowledge to fuel your movement.

5 FREE SESSIONS:
  1. Intro & Fundraising 101 – Kick-off with the basics of fundraising, from building the financial infrastructure (e.g. using a fiscal host) for your movement to crafting compelling project pitches and budgets.
  2. Crowdfunding – Learn how to leverage community power and online platforms to raise funds for your cause.
  3. Grant Research & Writing – Master the art of finding and applying for grants that align with your mission.
  4. Managing Your Received Funds – Develop strategies to effectively allocate and manage the funds you receive.
  5. Open Space for Q&A – Get personalized advice and insights from experts in an open, interactive session.

A commitment for the 5 sessions would be ideal and highly recommended but in case you are interested just in one or more of the sessions, you can also just join those. The learning materials of each session will be made public on the event page. 

WHEN?
Sessions are scheduled every other week, starting in the first week of October:
  1. 30/09 - 04/10
  2. 14/10 - 18/10
  3. 28/10 - 01/11
  4. 11/11 - 15/11
  5. 25/11 - 29/11

The exact days/times will be decided on together with the participants who sign up according to their availability. We will provide you with 3 options through the signup form and contact you in advance to confirm the exact day and time of the sessions!

WHY?
  • This series will be highly interactive, with opportunities to engage in discussions, ask questions, and collaborate with fellow activists.
  • We will adapt the workshop sessions to suit your situation and needs.
  • Each 1.5-hour session will include small, voluntary "home assignments" to reinforce learning and provide hands-on practice.
  • The sessions are for anyone looking to gain deeper insight into making their initiative more financially sustainable.

WHO?
  • Your facilitator, Jonas, is an activist who has been active in building financial infrastructure and conducting fundraising for various grassroots groups and movements since 2019.He even wrote a thesis on it! With his experience and hands-on approach, Jonas will guide you through the complexities of finance and fundraising, ensuring you leave each session equipped with practical, actionable strategies to support your cause.
  • Guests of the sessions include Babette, the green engine of All for Climate and experienced with the platform's functionality, marketing and more.
  • Antonios, a well-experienced grant-writer and also member of the All for Climate Team.
