A large group of cozy people gathered the work weekend in March to hang out and work together. The creative infrastructure project is moving forward rapidly, having community members work hard for the last couple of weeks, during and outside of work weekends, as well as several carpenters to do specific parts, such as electricity, drainage and sewage. Walls and ceiling are coming up, electrical pipes are drawn, sewage is being installed, and much more. If you want to be more engaged in the creative infrastructure project for its last phase (until June), please reach out to Caroline Bergmann, help is much appreciated.
The barn roof was inspected and partly repaired with a sky lift, hopefully leakage is a problem of the past now. A digger was on site to get water, sewage and electricity connected between the HQ and barn, as well as down by the site between the sheep barn and brewery - soon to be known as the Square - an ongoing FUND33 dream project.
The old kitchen has been cleaned up after the winter and could be in use for this work weekend, with most people sleeping in HQ. The sun was out a lot and the birds were chirping, a lovely time to be on site. Even more people are expected for next work weekend - that’s a longer Easter edition 17-21:st of April! https://facebook.com/events/s/work-weekend-easter-edition/2025560561202967/
The work weekends are up for each participant to do as they want with, join an ongoing indoor or outdoor project, start your own, or just enjoy Alversjö and the people.
The HQ works for sleeping for about 15 people. There is always space for tents, vans and caravans at the land for those who bring their own sleeping space. We have drinking water and outdoor toilets in the garden.
We usually eat breakfast and dinner together but bring ingredients so it can be co-created meals.
The work weekends are a great moment to connect with new people before the summer comes on when more and more people start to show up, along with the anemones.
A lot of work is done also around the barn.
Some wild men are warming up in the burning grass...
...while some others are getting warm by making small pieces out of solid concrete.
Once the concrete is gone the pipes can go in...
... and are covered again with fresh concrete.
After a long working day good food is needed.
The digger makes space for water pipes and cables.
