Some faint new noise
Published on March 19, 2024 by Florian Verdonck

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a quick update on what we've got cooking. We're not diving into the deep end here, but we're excited about a few key moves:

"F# for the Impatient" Promo Video: We're gearing up to create something along the lines of the cool content Isaac Harris-Holt drops, like this gem: Isaac's video. The goal? To shout about F# from the rooftops—or at least beyond our usual circles. A snappy run-through of what makes F# awesome might just do the trick.

- Interactive F# Tour: We've been eyeing up the interactive experiences out there, like Try F# and the F# Tour. No need to start from scratch when we can build on these foundations and take things up a notch, right?

We're taking cues from the sleek Gleam tour, especially since Gleam's recently edged past F# in GitHub stars. It's high time we highlighted F#'s long-standing features that folks love in Gleam. Time to ramp up our marketing and showcase F# as the go-to for functional, concise programming.

New Tools for F# Devs: The Ionide analyzer SDK is looking pretty robust these days, thanks to some recent updates. But, we're still seeing room for growth in community-created analyzers. We're thinking of bringing some contractors on board to flesh out ideas like those in this pull request. The aim is to shed light on performance bottlenecks in your code, helping everyone write more efficient F#.

Keen to hear your thoughts on these plans!
We are always happy to chat!

Amplified greetings,

David, Edgar, Florian & Jimmy
