About
For over 5 years Anastasia House has been squatted, housing numerous vulnerable homeless people, many of whom are trans and/or disabled.
Recently there have been a number of illegal eviction attempts, the crew has not been served any form of court papers or even any evidence that this gang has any legal right to the building. The residents have been threatened with violence, physical aggression and weapons repeatedly and now need support in gathering a camp outside to regularly keep an eye for further eviction attempts. When the police have become involved, instead of enforcing the law and sending the supposed security on their way, they battered supporters and almost allowed an illegal eviction to happen.
Regardless, we remained strong, people showed up, but we need to sustain this energy. Any funds donated will go towards supporting the crew and further securing the building to make it safe.
