About
We are Southwark copwatch, a grassroots collective intervening in, and campaigning against, policing and state violence.
What we do
What we do
- We hold regular monthly open meetings and run stalls as a way of engaging with our local community;
- We run Know Your Rights workshops, as well as producing and distributing bustcards, leaflets, and digital content informing our community on what to do if they come into contact with police, or if they witness policing in daily life;
- We organise protests in our local community to commemorate those who have been killed by policing, as well as raise awareness about the violence of policing and the need for care not cops.;
- We support other campaigns, groups, protests and events against policing, state violence, and anti-fascism through hosting banner-making sessions, sharing information about upcoming protests and events, and attending events in solidarity.
