Changes and Transitions: Open Collective Foundation is Dissolving

To our BLM at School supporters:
Thank you so much for the ongoing support in our mission. We have deep gratitude for your contributions and trust. We'd like to share that Open Collective Foundation, our fiscal sponsor, will be dissolving at the end of the year. Open Collective Foundation aligned with our priorities to keep our finances transparent and easily accessible to both our internal and external networks. We are in the process of researching potential fiscal sponsors as we prepare ourselves for this next transition.
Some key dates:
- We will no longer be able to accept incoming funds on this platform as of today, March 15. Recurring donations will also stop.
- Staff payroll services will be available until June 30.
- We will be able to spend our funds until September 30.
- Open Collective Foundation will dissolve on December 31.
Though this news has disrupted our timeline for seeking funds and maintaining payroll, we are still able to accept donations from individual contributors on our website here. As we navigate next steps, please consider helping to ease this sudden change by making a contribution to the financial sustainability of Black Lives Matter at School. Thank you.
