The begining of managed Interplanentary file system private networks
Published on August 24, 2020 by Stephen Traiforos

Mission:

Blobchain's goal is to recreate google drive, dropbox, megaupload like functionality using tools published freely for open security and understanding. Encouraging reuse of tooling and to innovate beyond and on top of the IPFS/Blockchain/Merkle DAG structure using accepted and innovative methods to support common functionality.

Reality:

Blobchain is an idea at the moment with actual effort being pursued by Stephen Traiforos, under the organization Traiforce Group LLC to enable tax, and employment benefits, as well as private contracting capability to fund this concept. The tools released to support this project will be owned by the Traiforce Group LLC on Gitlab with an intent to have a profit share mechanism for the tools reuse under the future SaaS company Blobchain LLC, and many others to support the interplanetary aspect. While one organization represents a single planet or even galaxy as the tools for secured data storage with trust are evolved and built into more consumer facing services on top.

Requirements:

This will be a platform with the intent to explore the needs of security, accessibility, and durability in a way an end user can understand; developer or not. In the future more public services will be innovated to utilize the proposed software tooling suite. Built using IPFS to lend its record keeping capabilities secured behind a login, while offering public ledger consensus to show practical methods of joining a private network and the public network.

My Goals:

This project will be async for some time and will have casual updates on Gitlab repositor(y)(ies).

Expect a modularized JS repository that implements: https proxy/gateway, Authentication for Oauth Or Okta integration, IPFS Node with configurations, Vue Login, IPFS private consensus, and many more!

Looking forward to working with an open source community more closely using technologies I believe in. Lets see if I can make this something that many people can be proud to work on and with.
