About
Brooklyn Transcore is a trans-generational, transgressive crew of trans freak punks and gender dissidents organizing, galvanizing, and coalition-building in the New York City alternative music community and beyond.
Through mutual aid initiatives, we redistribute musical instruments to trans people and provide gender-expansive clothing and harm reduction resources. We produce inter-communal all-ages events, shows, and festivals with a do-it-together ethic and a focus on collective empowerment, education, and queer joy. When trans people possess their own means of self-expression, we can do more than fight to be seen; we can co-create the world.
Grounded in a rich lineage of art and resistance, we believe in the transformative power of reclaiming our narratives. We strive to uplift each other, knowing that when we can sing, dance, and create together, we transcend the cycle of mere survival and dare to build a life of abundance.
