November 2020 update
Published on November 13, 2020 by Jean-François De Hertogh

Welcome Soliverre, Open Street Map Belgium, More for Moria, Enfants Terribles Films, Chayn Belgium, and many more! We love to see new projects emerging 🤗

Special mention to More for Moria for their amazing fundraising campaign! 👏

New Help Docs: Everything in One Place! 🤓

Our documentation used to be in one messy Google Drive... We fixed that!

This new documentation brings a new onboarding process that is worth reading about!

New website 😮

We worked hard with the open collective design team on a new website in order to explain what we do in a structured manner. We hope you will like it! 👇

Our Fees 📝

In order to support you better, we've come up with a new fee system to ensure a better dynamic for your collective's financial sustainability and ours.

From now on, there will be no more “platform fees” (5% percent fee for the open collective software on each incoming donation made by visa or Mastercard). There will be a flat 6% fee on each incoming transfer, with new collectives able to raise and spend up to 1000 euros for free (0% fee on the first 1000 euros raised). This fee will cover the administrative work, as well as the license to use open collective software. You will find all the information in the FAQ of our new documentation.

2021 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that we’ll boost our communication activities! Expect to see us a lot more on social networks and in the press. You can already follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Our goal is to promote your collectives through social media and blog posts!

We are actively working on 2021 with Clément (founder of the MIMOC collective), which will bring new services such as the normalization of short term employment contracts for the collectives (so that you can easily hire employees for short-term missions).

Since a few months, many of you use our services to raise State funding. We have now a convention that specifies duties and obligations for the collectives. This way you can raise subsidies in a structured environment (see our terms and conditions for more info).

Good luck with your projects and see you soon in real life 🥳

Thank you for your trust,

Jean-François and Clément
