Technology Study with Hispanic Small Business Owners in Georgia - Phase I
Published on January 10, 2022 by Vicky Tamaru

We've received over 500 survey responses for our qualitative phase of Hispanic SMBs in partnership with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce thanks to the generous partnership with the GHCC and through press we received on Univision, Telemundo and Mundo Hispanico.

It was a priority for us to approach this study to reach out and include those individuals who are normally excluded from technology studies.  The main challenge we were trying to mitigate was that reaching out to individuals who have low tech access and competency means that we could not rely on common (and less expensive) web- and email-based channels and survey tools.

We are the middle of creating a process for ensuring that the responses indeed came from owners of Hispanic small business in the State of Georgia.  This will include both mechanical and manual validation techniques that will help carry us through studies in the future.

Thank you for your generous contribution and support of buildJUSTLY and the important work we're doing to empower a more equitable world through more equitable technology.
