Closing Down Our Open Collective - Moving to the Farm
Published on February 24, 2022 by Carol Crowe
Good Day to all!!
I hope you are all well and I would like to share my deepest love and thanks to all that have contributed to us over the Pandemic!
Since Cannhall mutual aid started we have helped multiple residents in so many ways! Shopping for folk whilst shielding or isolating and showing the love a community can share with each other has been a positive mental health experience for many. Times have been so troubled and now we are seeing the aftermath and systemic problems the area faces due to food poverty.
The Farm Community Kitchen set up through the mutual aid network to help supply meals to residents in any difficulty through COVID-19 and since we created and launched the community cafe at 102 Cannhall road, E11 3NH, we have created a safe space for people to come and volunteer or pop in for a cuppa, have a reasonably priced sausage roll or a yummy cake and enjoy a Perky Blenders coffee.
We are closing the Open Collective down as we are now seeing mainly donations coming in and we are moving it all to The Farm Community Kitchen CIC
https://www.thefarmcommunitykitchen.com/donate please consider moving your regular donations to us so we can continue to supply residents in need with support and food.
Come volunteer or pop in and say hi!
Wanna make a club and need space, order a cake or need some catering for an event then come in and chat with us and let us see what we can do!
Thank you all again!
Stay safe
