Three QuestionsWe have three broad questions we would like you to answer:
1. What did you accomplish during 2023? How did you use money?
We used the money to assist multiple people in accessing food, reestablishing their utilities, and bought cold weather supplies for the unhoused in our community.
2. What challenges did you face during 2023? What did your Collective learn? How did you change or grow?
We faced the challenge of burnout and recruitment slow down in new members. We have learned that we are in a long haul fight against poverty, a marathon and not a sprint. We have grown by carefully prioritizing our activities and focusing on our most vital programs, this has allowed us to talk to the unhoused community and develop a plan to start an unhoused union of the poor to address community needs.
3. What are your plans for 2024? Anything exciting coming up?
Our plans for 2024 including many networking opportunities in our region to support the regional solidarity efforts we are engaged in. We also hope to expand our current programs and develop the union into a real entity, capable of enacting the desires of its members.
