Greetings to all ccma foodies!
As we begin to transition out of OCF (see here for their dissolution update), we are closing down the food box collective sub-project and consolidating our funds. This is not the end for either ccma nor the food box collective working group! We are in the process of transitioning to new fiscal sponsorship. More on that soon!
We really appreciate all the contributions we have received to support our efforts to promote food access in the Indianapolis area. Thanks to your contributions, we have been able to stock our food box and other local food boxes and fridges. We have even been lucky enough to support other food justice groups with refrigerator purchases for their own community food fridge projects.
Our current food box, codename 'The Cutie', is still doing work out in Broad Ripple, and can be found outside the lovely patio of Soulshine Vegan Café. We are so grateful for our food box hosts and the community that helps keep the food box clean + stocked regularly :) We couldn't do it without y'all!
We plan to give The Cutie a fresh coat of paint this year. Additionally, we hope to debut 1-2 more cmma-stewarded food boxes in the Indianapolis area this year! If you have any ideas for a cool local business that would like to partner on a food box, please reach out to us at: [email protected].
