Citizen Collective: a community of people leading and learning for a #CitizenFuture...

Since the book Citizens by Jon Alexander came out in March 2022, we've met SO MANY people who are working with the logic of what  Jon talked about in the book as the "Citizen Story": the idea that all of us are smarter than any of us, and that the best way to face the challenges of our time is to tap into the ideas, energy and resources of everyone.

It's happening in local communities all over the world, in workplaces and professional communities across sectors, and even in whole national and local governments.

What's become clear is that this energy could create a very different future from the default dystopias that seem most likely to be in the headlines of our times—if we can connect the dots, learn from one another, and make the whole more than the sum of the parts.

That's what Citizen Collective is intended to make possible - for all of us who are trying to do this work, trying to build this future, to be able to see that we're not the only ones, and to be able to learn from one another as we do it.

To be very clear, the idea here is NOT to try to be the only place where these needs are fulfilled, to be exclusive, or to brand anything or anyone in this community with the word “Citizen” (unless they find it helpful!). Instead, it offers space and support in a community of practice, where we can find inspiration, ask questions, tell stories, build community, and learn from one another.
