About
Book Power is a public directory of MCP servers and skills built from CC-licensed and public-domain books on commons, facilitation, democracy tech, and open source — enabling AI assistants such as Claude Code to tap programmatically into the wisdom of the books that shape the field.
The design choice is one-book-per-tool to start, so each tool carries a single author's framing accurately. Domain-level bundles (e.g. a future "democracy tech" server pulling from Governable Spaces + Plurality) will follow only after coordinating with the authors.
Live tools include MCP servers for Governable Spaces (Nathan Schneider, CC BY-NC-SA) and Think Like a Commoner (David Bollier, CC BY-NC-SA). More are in the pipeline.
Suggestions for other CC-licensed or public-domain books worth wrapping are welcome.
