Decentralized Deliberation Standard

Open protocol for sovereign, verifiable, interoperable deliberation — built on AT Protocol. Collaboration with Agora Citizen Network and Simone Vagnoni (Deliberation Knowledge Graph).

About

The Decentralized Deliberation Standard (DDS) is an open protocol that separates deliberation into three modular interfaces: Plan (design consultations), Collect (gather input from surveys, social media, AI agents, live conversations), and Analyze (derive insights via opinion mapping, topic modeling, LLM analysis).

Four defining properties: Sovereign (users control participation, self-host any layer), Interoperable (shared schemas, no vendor lock-in), Verifiable (cryptographic signatures, optional on-chain anchoring), Resilient (censorship-resistant archival).

Built on AT Protocol for transport and identity, with optional integrations for Arweave/Filecoin (permanent storage) and Ethereum (verification). Supports variable credentials (guest to enterprise SSO) and identity modes (identified through anonymous).

Our collaboration brings together DDS protocol work and Simone Vagnoni's Deliberation Knowledge Graph (semantic web infrastructure aggregating deliberation datasets from European Parliament, Decide Madrid, Decidim Barcelona, and more).
