 We found this picture of the site of our second lavendar garden before we planted it this year.  This spot in Hollycot Gardens is a popular fly tipping site, or was.  The space is a different shape to the last garden but it does get afternoon sun so it could be a good location.
As it  would be hoped that it would cease to become a site for rubbish, we have had a significant reduction in rubbish dumping now. While it does have partial lawn, i was happy to see that the area where the rubbish is is actually soil and therefore, the lavendar garden would improve on the existing situation.
