Hey CodeBuddies Community,
This project turns ten this month (June 2024)! Over the past decade, we've had the privilege of facilitating countless study groups, peer-to-peer learning sessions, and lasting connections. We couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!
As part of our celebration, we have an important update. Due to the upcoming closure of the Open Collective Foundation, we will be spending down the funds in our Open Collective at opencollective.com/codebuddies. To ensure these funds benefit our community, we are offering a special giveaway:
Course Reimbursement: You can request reimbursement for an educational resource of your choice (e.g. an Udemy course, O'Reilly subscription, TCM Security Academy, etc.), up to $75. Please fill out this Google form by the end of July 14th to submit your request. Instructions on how to submit for a reimbursement will be provided after your request is approved.
If there are any funds left over after the giveaways, they will be donated to nonprofits with a similar mission, such as Exercism and FreeCodeCamp.We would like to extend our thanks to The Awesome Foundation, Duckly, Anbuselvan Periannan, and Anthony Pillitiere for their significant donations to our Open Collective over the years. Their generosity, along with the contributions from many others, has been instrumental in supporting our mission.
Let's continue to support each other as we look forward to another decade of learning and coding together!
