Until now, the process of asking mentorship wasn't unified so no one could track who are their mentors / mentees.
Also, once a person registered, they could get every mentor's contact details.

Now, mentees submit a request to the mentor and only when they approved, the mentee gets the contact details and both of them can track their mentorships status.
