About
We owe our support to our comrades and to everyone who is being punished by the state for taking action against the ongoing genocide!
Last summer saw the police escalating their use of mass arrest in protest situations, often with excessive force and on questionable grounds.
On the 1st of May 2024, over 1,000 people stood outside the department of Business and Trade, as part of a coordinated action against the British government’s provision of export licenses for military equipment believed to be used in aiding and abetting Israel’s ongoing genocide in Palestine. During this, 3 people were arrested.
On 24th of July 2024, during a similar action outside the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, a further 9 people were arrested.
Huge numbers of people turned up for police station support on the day, but now we need to turn up for our comrades again.
These 12 arrestees are now facing legal charges and need our support. Going through legal proceedings takes a toll on an emotional level, and legal costs for those who don’t qualify for legal aid are exorbitantly expensive. One of the most important things we can do to support is donate towards legal costs.
While we will be making a significant donation as an organisation, and organising court support and other forms of solidarity, we encourage everyone who can to give generously!
The struggle for a free Palestine requires us to look after each other in order to keep standing and keep pushing, in spite of state repression.
Free Palestine.
