Sweep is a monthly event where we deliver direct grocery aid to our neighbors in Medford and Somerville, with no means testing. Mutual aid is more fun together: we'll gather at Stop and Shop and hand out grocery lists to shop for and grocery cards to deliver.

Food security is a huge, ongoing problem in Massachusetts: 100k+ more household are on SNAP assistance than before the pandemic. Benefits are difficult to access, don't cover essentials like diapers, and the government cut the amount money to SNAP households by an average of $155/month in March of 2023.
At our last Supermarket Sweep we delivered $4800 in grocery cards to 25 households totaling 95 people. Will you help us make the next sweep an even bigger success?
