Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville

Organzing our neighbors and pooling our resources to create a better community for everyone.

About

Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville is fundraising! Help MAMAS reach our goal: $2,500 in new monthly donations, to cover grocery cards and direct cash assistance to our neighbors.

Click “Contribute” above or scroll down to find all the ways you can donate.

In Mutual Aid we believe everyone has something they need and everyone has something to give. Do you have $5, $20, or even $100 in your monthly budget to give toward supporting your neighbors in Medford and Somerville? Many of our neighbors need money to pay for groceries and bills, and they rely on MAMAS like you to help!

Right now MAMAS distributes over $7,000 a month in direct aid, thanks to recurring contributions from 130 of your neighbors who believe in the MAMAS mission of solidarity, not charity. But the need is still great, and we are spending all of that 7k and more each month. With another $2,500 a month we could distribute cash grants to 10 community members, or help 15 households with groceries. And if we reach an additional $5000 per month we can do both. Let’s grow our monthly donations so we can provide reliable, direct support and food security to more neighbors, for as long as they need it.
