About
Who are we?
Common Languages is a non-profit organization that offers interpretation and translation services for organizations advocating for social change. We collaborate with organizations and grassroots movements to incorporate language justice into their daily practices. We help grassroots organizations by providing capacity-building, equipment, and education to enable them to lead and participate in multilingual organizing.
Language is key for political organising. We believe that having multilingual spaces is essential for social movements aiming to transform society. We are part of a network of organizations working towards language justice, and we think that language justice should become a practice within our collectives to ensure that everyone has equal access to organizing spaces.
