Hello!

Cooperation Birmingham have two exciting events coming up in the near future and our regular meeting.

Today
we have a Visioning session today (17th June)! 4pm until late in the Digbeth Community Garden. This is a chance for people to come together and meet each other and learn from each other about how Cooperation Birmingham works and where we want to go in the future. We'll also talk about rebuilding the stage in the garden which we will be using for our Festival of Co-operation later in the year. This meeting is in person, if you want to attend but will incurr transport costs and need help with the cash - we can reimburse transport costs just get in touch :-)

This Sunday 6.30pm is our regular fortnightly meeting, we will be discussing the situation with the festival, the media co-op and the move from solidarity kitchen to the cafe. The meeting will be held online you can join here: https://meet.jit.si/BenignBacteriaPlanObnoxiously

Wednesday next week (23rd at 7pm) the Media Co-operative working group will be having an online meeting and talk from Tom Barlow, who had to cancel at the last minute during the hackday due to problems with trains. He is going to deliver the presentation via Zoom and then have a chat with us about the set up.
Thomas Barlow is a media activist and journalist who co-founder Real Media (an independent media cooperative that reports on protest and activism) and the Independent Media Association (which is an association of nearly 50 independent media organisations), and Bywire (an app which is the home of independent media).  He the event organiser for the Media Democracy Festival, and helps organise other media events and campaigns.
