I AM THE SINGULARITY

I AM THE SINGULARITY is a multimedia poetry project of that encapsulates the many weird and contradictory feelings of being alive at the end of one world-epoch and the beginning of a new one. The book asks: What will be left of the Earth, and humanity, when technological civilization has run its course? How will we face all that we've done, and failed to do? And how shall we live in the meantime? Can love or beauty still save us? What's truly worth living for, and dying for, in an age enthralled with the crazy dream of a posthuman techno-utopia?

The centerpiece of the book is the title poem—a multipart epic-lyric tour de force, in the tradition of T.S. Eliot's "The Wasteland" or Allen Ginsbeg's "Howl," while still being uniquely and radically its own thing. This poem and a few others will form the backbone of a double-album, including musical accompaniment in a variety of styles. Finally, a series of art videos will accompany the audio to reach the widest possible audience.

The author, who is also the founder of Cosmos Co-op, a founding editor of Metapsychosis journal, and a co-publisher of Untimely Books, is raising funds to support the completion of the book by the fall of 2025, as well as to pay for the musicians, artists, designers, engineers, and filmmakers who will be part of his cooperative production team. Poems to be produced include:

50% of all contributions, along with eventual profits from book and album sales, will cover the author's living expenses, while the other 50% will go to Cosmos Co-op and contributors to the project. Your support will make it possible for the author to continue writing, singing, editing, publishing, recording, and collaborating within the context of Cosmos Co-op, and you will also receive early access to the poetry and all related productions, along with other perks.
