We have launched a newsletter on Substack, to allow people who wish to receive email updates about our newest publications to get our semi-regular release announcement articles by email.

The newsletter is free. Substack, of course, allows people to pay to subscribe to this newsletter. There is no difference between the content that paying newsletter subscribers, and free newsletter subscribers, will get. All subscribers to the newsletter will get all the articles.

Comparing them as purely payment processors, Substack takes a larger percentage than Open Collective does. So, we still prefer people to back us here on Open Collective. Also, on Open Collective the total income for the collective is transparent and our readers can review our budget.
