Why should you support Drupal Bootstrap?
Both Drupal Bootstrap and Drupal are completely free. The Drupal community believes besides having full access to open source code, everyone is free to use, modify, and contribute to the software. Everyone is a member of the collective community that helps to build and support Drupal. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to get involved.
How your contribution will be used?
Primarily, contributions are used to incentivize other community members in participating (via patches) in the rigorous task of helping to upgrade to newer major versions of the Bootstrap Framework.
Anyone can submit an expense to this collective, provided they supply appropriate documentation on their contribution to the project.
Over time, the annual budget will be used to periodically reimburse community members for ongoing maintenance of the project.
What is the goal of Drupal Bootstrap's Open Collective?
The short-term goal is to raise funds for upgrading the project to Bootstrap 4.
The long-term goal is to make Drupal Bootstrap more sustainable.
Sustainability requires money and ongoing experimentation.
