Dual Power Gatherings are a series of autonomous events being organized by a loose collective of tenants, workers and activists participating in Symbiosis Federation, Autonomous Tenants Union Network, Industrial Workers of the World and independent dual power projects across the country organizing to build independent working class power throughout North America.

Recent events—the pandemic, escalating militarism, the surge of fascist and racist activity, the attacks on trans and non-binary members of our communities, to name just a few—have shown us that our movements and lives, while interconnected and growing, are largely alienated from one another. COVID has only made this worse. Achieving our goals requires action, pollination, and community. Connecting and exchanging our ideas and skills and building resilient networks are key parts of building our collective power.

At our gatherings we foster an atmosphere of generative co-learning, co-creativity and shared strategizing. We want to connect people and bring them together around shared work. We are organizing to create a space where ideas are exchanged, stories are told, and futures are imagined, in the context of building and fighting for dual power.
