New Fiscal Sponsor & Donating to Edgewater Mutual Aid Network
Published on August 6, 2024 by Alyssa
Hi Neighbors,
As you may be aware, our fiscal sponsor, OpenCollective Foundation, is closing by the end of the year. Due to this, we have not been able to accept donations since March.
Luckily, we have had the support of our community, and in March we were able to raise around $15,000 from donors. Additionally, we received a $25,000 Solidarity Fund grant from the Crossroads Fund.
We’d like to thank you all for showing up for us to help us navigate this challenge. Thanks to community support, we've been able to not only continue our work but expand it.
We are excited to announce that we can once again accept donations! We have begun working with a new 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, Hack Club, who we are working with in partnership with the Chicagoland Food Sovereignty Coalition. Hack Club will allow us to continue to have financial transparency and provide direct aid to our neighbors.
If you'd like to give ongoing support to Edgewater neighbors, please consider starting a monthly donation.
Our OpenCollective page will be archived. Stay up to date on Edgewater Mutual Aid:
