ALL PRINTS ARE GONE!
This Christmas, treat your loved ones with the gift of a limited edition print made by Newcastle-based artist Ciara Lenihan, your contribution will go towards the continued running of our activities.
"This was made as a reaction to the ongoing food-poverty crisis. The image depicts my own experience with food poverty whilst sticking two fingers up to the old Irish proverb “Is maith an t-anlann an t-ocras”- hunger is the best sauce. People experiencing poverty deserve fresh fruit and vegetables. We deserve to be able to cook meals that don’t come in a tin or a jar. We deserve dignity and respect.” - Ciara Lenihan
Initial run will be limited to 50.
Ciara Lenihan is an artist and activist based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Their practice explores decolonisation of the body and the self through performance, bilingual writing and moving image. See their work here https://ciaralenihan.hotglue.me
