EAFC membership

Renew your annual membership today! This is a one time donation. Please note that until February 2024 - the default had been set to yearly automatic payment. Some of the benefits to membership include access to skill share events, hands on learning, being part of a vibrant community, earth care, people share, fair share, this includes access to some of the bounty of the garden. 

To renew your membership, please

  1. Fill out the application
  2. Fill out waivers and agreement if you have not done so yet
  3. Make a financial contribution here. Sliding scale $20 -$300. Membership fees are important to the collective - however all are welcome to participate regardless of ability to pay. 
 

As one way to live into our commitment to economic justice we invite you to use the sliding scale rate structure below (created by) to investigate your current access to financial wealth and income. We encourage you to give at the rate in which you are able to answer yes to most of the statements in that category.

Cross Class Redistribution & Membership rate: $300

This rate pays the “Full Rate” along with directly subsidizing the “Reduced Rate” registrants. Please consider this rate if you answer yes to most of the statements below and/or if your employer is paying you to attend.
  1. I am comfortably able to meet all of my basic* needs
  2. I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs
  3. I own my home or property OR I rent a higher-end property
  4. I own or lease a car
  5. I am employed or do not need to work to meet my needs
  6. I have regular access to health care
  7. I have access to financial savings
  8. I have an expendable** income
  9. I can always buy new items
  10. I can afford an annual vacation or take time off

Full Rate: $120

Please consider this rate if you answer yes to most of the statements below.
  1. I may stress about meeting my basic needs* but still regularly achieve them
  2. I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs
  3. I own or lease a car
  4. I am employed
  5. I have access to health care
  6. I might have access to financial savings
  7. I have some expendable income**
  8. I am able to buy some new items & I thrift others
  9. I can take a vacation annually or every few years without financial burden. 

Reduced Rate: $60

This rate is reduced to create access for those for whom accessing this course at the other rates creates a financial burden. Please consider this rate if you answer yes to some of the statements below.
  1. I frequently stress about meeting basic needs & don’t always achieve them
  2. I have debt and it sometimes prohibits me from meeting my basic needs
  3. I rent lower-end properties or have unstable housing
  4. I do not have a car and/or have limited access to a car but I am not always able to afford gas
  5. I am unemployed or underemployed
  6. I qualify for government assistance including food stamps & health care
  7. I have no access to savings
  8. I have no or very limited expendable income
  9. I rarely buy new items because I am unable to afford them
  10. I cannot afford a vacation or have the ability to take time off without financial burden
 
Very Reduced Rate: $20

** Expendable Income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books, and similar items each month, etc.
