NewBies OpenMRS Developer
PROJECT
Organization: EMR4All
Train, motivate, and empower OpenMRS volunteers to fix tickets, contribute to dev stacks, and support global health communities.
About
The OpenMRS Volunteer Developer Program is a dedicated initiative to train, motivate, and empower new volunteers to actively support the OpenMRS community. By providing structured mentorship, resources, and incentives, we ensure volunteers remain engaged in critical tasks like resolving ticket issues, contributing to new development stacks, and driving innovation for global health equity.
Key Goals:
- Train: Equip newcomers with technical skills through guided onboarding, hands-on tutorials, and real-world OpenMRS project collaboration.
- Motivate: Offer stipends, cloud credits, and recognition to sustain enthusiasm and acknowledge volunteers’ impact.
- Empower: Foster long-term engagement by empowering volunteers to lead bug fixes, optimize code, and shape OpenMRS’s future.
Impact:
- Accelerate issue resolution for OpenMRS implementations (e.g., EMR4All).
- Strengthen the open-source health tech ecosystem with diverse, skilled contributors.
- Build a self-sustaining pipeline of developers committed to serving underserved communities.
Join us in investing in the people who sustain OpenMRS because every fixed ticket and every line of code brings us closer to equitable healthcare for all.
