About
Our campaign is called ‘End Our Cladding Scandal’. The name was coined when a small number of our co-founders met, not long after the Grenfell tragedy, at a time when leaseholders were being told they would have to pay to remove the dangerous cladding on their buildings, but before inspections began to uncover that what had hitherto been known as a ‘Cladding Scandal’ was in fact a full-blown ‘Building Safety Crisis’ with widespread internal building safety defects, such as missing compartmentation, missing firebreaks and flammable insulation putting people’s lives at risk in thousands of buildings across the country.
We are a coalition of national and local campaign groups of affected leaseholders. There are groups in several cities, including Manchester, London, Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Ipswich, and other areas. Our campaign partners also include Grenfell United, the National Leasehold Campaign, the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership, the Shared Owners’ Network.
