Fund Everlyn's Safehouse

Fund Everlyn's Safehouse is an open collective to support one woman whose work is dangerous, unfunded, and needed.

In the isolated communities and towns of the Papua New Guinea Highlands, people live in fear of sanguma - witches and sorcery. Women and men are frequently tortured, cut, and burnt alive as accused witches. In the midst of this fear one woman fights the swelling tide of sorcery killings and accusations with the only resource she has, love. Everlyn Kunda rescues women who somehow escape the violence in the villages and end up on Goroka's streets. 

This open collective goes hand-in-hand with the feature documentary Sanguma - Islands of Fear to support Everlyn in her work, and to tell her story to the world.
