The community supports those new to Clojure as well as those new to coding and all our members agree to follow a code of conduct.

Our ClojureBridge London events have helped hundreds of people from under-represented groups experience coding for the first time. We also hear stories from people they can identify with on their experiences in starting a career in software development. These events have helped many people start careers in the software industry as well as adding a wider range of voices and ideas to our community.

London Clojurians is a very active community with several events per month (especially outside of a pandemic). These events including technical talks, coding dojo's to practice Clojure, hack-days to collaborate on projects together and a yearly community driven conference.

The community started in London (hence the name) and this is where our in-person events take place. Most of our events have moved online and we have regular broadcasts via YouTube, so our audience has grown to be much more world-wide.

Clojure is a great way to learn functional programming thanks to a small and well crafted syntax and focus on simplicity. It is a valuable language for beginners and experienced developers to learn and leads to opportunities to start and evolve a career. The community is very friendly, especially toward those new to Clojure and new to coding.
