FAVOR is honored to have participated in the annual Friday After event, coordinated by Food Rescue US and Neighborhood Food Action Collaborative (NFAC). On Friday, November 24, 2023, FAVOR members and Archdale community leaders volunteered their time to receive, organize, and distribute 300 bags of food at our Archdale site, out of the Menino Community Center gym. 

In one afternoon--on the "Friday After" Thanksgiving--NFAC and Food Rescue US held 4 food distribution programs at locations in Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Roslindale and Hyde Park. Together, we were able to serve over 720 community members with nearly 15,000 pounds of fresh produce, meat, eggs, bread and other nourishing essentials.

To all NFAC volunteers, your selfless dedication and the time you invested have not only enhanced our organization’s ability to serve but have also left an indelible mark on the individuals and communities we aim to assist. We understand that volunteering often requires personal sacrifice and we want you to know that every minute you’ve contributed has been invaluable.
