Grant from Food Access and Local Supply Initiative
Published on July 9, 2021 by Janna Cohen-Rosenthal

FAVOR has gained a grant to purchase about $3,000 of food for July programs! The Office of Food Access and the Small Business Unit in the Office of Economic Development created the "Food Access and Local Supply Initiative" to support immigrant populations with emergency food access needs. The Initiative connects community-based organizations (CBOs) serving these populations with small local businesses to provide the grocery items necessary to meet their food needs.

You won't see the transactions from this grant on the open collective site as the invoicing is done directly through the vendors and city during this month.

FAVOR is partnered in this grant with The Neighborhood Food Action Collaborative (NFAC), Vital CxNs, and Health Leeds which run sites on Blue Hill Ave and in Mattapan.

Please help us keep up these efforts and expand programs at other sites in Roslindale.
