Dear friends,

 

First of all, we want to thank you for supporting FAVOR: Food Access Volunteers of Roslindale. Your generosity has helped us continue to run our programs at the Archale Village and Washington Beech apartments and to provide food to 120+ families each week.

 

As you know, the Open Collective Foundation has acted as our fiscal sponsor for the last few years allowing you and others to make tax free donations to support our work. Unfortunately, the Open Collective Foundation announced last week that it is dissolving. 

 

We want to assure you that FAVOR is not ceasing operations. We will continue to provide food to families each week in Roslindale.  What has changed now is our ability to receive tax free donations. We are looking into other options for fiscal sponsorship and will keep you posted on our progress. As of now, the money in our Open Collective account is safe and accessible to us. In fact, we have until September 30th to spend the money and/or move it to a new fiscal sponsor. However, the Open Collective Foundation is ceasing to accept donations as of March 15th. You will be receiving a notice about this from them, but we also wanted to let you know.
