Hello, friends. We are asking for your help, yet again. If you are making plans for your year-end giving, please consider FAVOR. 

FAVOR is different from other food orgs like the food pantry, community fridge, and RFC. Our mission is to work with lower-income communities to ensure local households have access to sufficient healthy food, and to advocate for policy change necessary to achieve food equity. Our Friday food programs at Archdale and Washington-Beech Apartments provide families with fresh eggs and nutritious produce, which they do not get through the Greater Boston Food Bank. We also prioritize culturally relevant foods, like beans, rice, bok choy, plantains, and yams, so our neighbors can prepare meals they know and love.

We work with 120-150 families each week, and just $65 will support 1 family for an entire month. We do this through mutual aid, with the knowledge that Roslindale hosts one of the most successful Farmers Markets in the city, yet community members living 1 mile away cannot get the same quality produce. Systemic barriers can be overcome through mutual aid and direct aid. We cannot continue operating in 2022 without funding, and every small donation helps!!
