About

The Fernwood Wellness Library is a small, grassroots project started in response to increased community needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a mutual aid space that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone to contribute, or to access goods. Similar to a Community Fridge, think of it like a Community Medicine Cabinet + Pantry in one. It is located at 1921 Fernwood Road, and is stocked, cleaned and maintained completely by volunteers.
Donations can vary from personal care items to hydration to food and treats - some donation ideas include:
  • Food - such as non perishable, allergy sensitive items, garden produce, baby food & formula, coffee and herbal teas
  • Supplements/Vitamins
  • Pet food
  • Hydration - especially as the weather heats up. Water, gatorade, coconut water
  • Gift cards - grocery, coffee, take out
  • Personal care items - soap, toothpaste, menstrual hygiene, bandaids
  • Topical relief - sun lotion, salves, aloe, topical pain relief

We have approval from the Fernwood Community Association, and under their guidelines, we only accept new, sealed products and do not accept ingestible medicines (like Tylenol or herbal tinctures) at this time.
