ACORN Preston
ACORN is a community union of low and middle-income people fighting for a better deal. Recently we've won cheaper public transport in Liverpool, protected free school meal funding in Norwich, and protected fifty thousand households from Bailiffs in Manchester!
And every day we're standing up to bad landlords - winning repairs, deposits and stopping evictions.
We want to build an ACORN group in Preston - to fight landlords, bosses and developers, and take back power for ordinary people in the town. And we need you to help make it happen!
Everyone is warmly invited to our ACORN Preston launch event on Saturday 11th of May which will include:
- An introduction to ACORN
- Community organising training: How we build power and win!
- Electing a committee to lead the ACORN Preston group
Even if you're not a member yet you're welcome to come and speak to us in person. We hope to see you there!
